Make Money on Your website with Google AdSense

First Steps

You have to remember that before signing up with Google AdSense, you should have a website or weblog to incorporate with the program. Not all sites are accepted (but most are). You have to make sure that you have a relevant site, that offers unique and valuable content, as well as creative design that does not include too many advertisements.

Not only that, you must have a steady traffic in your site, in order to qualify for Google AdSense. So your site must have a lot of content and a sizable audience. Find a niche that you really love and feel passionate about. You should do some research to ensure the niche you chose is popular. You want to target a niche that is popular and has an active online community, which you will need to get involved in to promote your site.

Choosing a Layout

Once your site is ready and approved by Google AdSense, it's time to log in and configure your new AdSense advertisement to include on your site.
First click on "AdSense for Content". Don't worry: configuration is pretty easy and kinda fun too, you get to pick colors, sizes, and much more. Then your next step will be to decide what type of advertisements you want Google to serve up on your pages.

You can start out with a text Ad unit, which is more useful, flexible and have a higher payout compared to the other content adverts. The next section of your task is to specify the format and layout of your AdSense ad, and there are a rather amazing number of different size and format options. Google has a helpful AdSense Ad Format Reference Page that's worth a quick peek.

Once the layout is decided, you can net change the color scheme of the ad. Try to choose a color scheme that both blends with your sites colors, but is still visible enough to 'pop', you may need to experiment a bit to find just the right colors. It helps people not gloss over them and, hopefully, click on the ads a bit more frequently.

Define alternate URL and Channel

Define an alternate ad when a keyword does not have an advertiser bidding. By default, Google displays public service ads (PSAs), but if you want to create an HTML snippet that produces the same size content, you can use that instead, or, you can simply have a solid box in the color of your choice that blends into the design of your site.

Once your ad unit is all set up, Google will produce some code for your site. Next open your website or blog and find the spot where you want your ads to display, and paste in the new code by using Edit --> Paste.

Save your template and rebuild your site, or, if it's just a page, save the page back onto the server and bring it up in your web browser and check that an ad is displaying in the right place.

These are just the first steps to setting up an Adsense website. You can choose the best layout's and color schemes that you like. It is really up to you on how you want to make your ads work and match with your site. The amount of money you can make with Google adsense is very much influenced by how much traffic your site gets and the competiveness of the keyword generating your adsense ads.

Make Money with Google Adwords

How to Make Money with Google PPC

Google Adwords, or Pay per Click is Googles main bread and butter. It lets you create simple, effective ads and display them to people already searching online for information related to your business. As a dominant force in the Search Engine world, Googles Adwords program is used by many businesses to make money money.

When you create an Adwords ad, you choose keywords for which your ad will appear and specify the maximum amount you're willing to pay for each click. The system will tell you if your bid is too low for the first page, you can usually lower it after you get clicks to the average cost of those clicks and then lower it again as your ad gains ranking.

It is very easy to set up a Google adwords account. The initial start up steps are:

1. Register an Adwords account with a active email and set a password you can remember.

2. Define your account currency. The currency you select will be used for all billing and bidding. generally you would set this up as the same currency as your credit card and/or other accounts, but it can be what ever you want. Once the currency is set, you can not change it. So, obviously, choose the currency that makes the most sense for your business.

3. Verify your account. You must use a active email as you will recieve a email from Google that contains a link to activate your account. Your account will not activate until you click the link they email. Click the link provided in that email and then sign in to your AdWords account with the email address and password you recently chose.

4. Provide billing information. You can explore your AdWords account without submitting billing information. However, you can not actually display any ads on the search network until you make your first payment. See the activate your ads section in your Google adwords account to learn how to enter billing information and get your ad running.

Once your account is created, you can start using Google adwords and start earning from your ads.

Many businesses find numerous advantages for including Adwords into their business. Adwords Discounter can be used to automatically adjust your maximum bid to one cent above your closest competitor, which helps to maintain your place in search results. This means that you don't have to be constantly checking if your competitors have lowered their bids in order for you to minimize your price, Google does this for you.

The way Adwords positions your ads is another great advantage of the program. In Adwords the position of a certain ad is determined by multiplying your CPC (cost per click) by your CTR (click through rate) and not simply by CPC alone.

Other advantages which Googles program has over similar ones include setup time and specific country / language targeting. With Adwords your ads can be live on Google within five minutes of creating them so you can potentially begin to see results immediately, ads on other web advertising tools usually go live after a three to five day waiting period. Adwords allows you to choose who should see your ads from among 250+ countries and 14 languages, this means you have more control over your ads so you very accurately define your target audience.

This is just a sampler of the Adwords industry. There is a lot of homework to do to learn the trick and secrets of the trade to really leverage this tool.
